Our Own Wild-Caught Alaskan Salmon

Far in the northwest… There we find the quiet, very quiet village of Egegik, Alaska. Well, it is not always so calm…
Our people have been going to this special place in Alaska for many years to find the best wild Alaskan Salmon.

When fishing season starts, the weathered fishermen migrate to Egegik from many parts of the USA. If they have a license (which is closely monitored by the Coast Guard) they are allowed to fish for these most precious of all fish.

Now, we (Yellow Deli Folks) are not all such “weathered fishermen,” but many of us do get a chance to go up into the wilderness to try… always under the watchful eye of our Master Fisherman, Ernest, who has been fishing here for 30 years. Thus, we manage to catch lots of fish! Ernest is truly an earnest fisherman who, along with his whole family, came into our community many years ago, and made his fishing business include his new “extended family.” With the abundance of our catch each season, we are now able to not only eat this great fish ourselves, but also use it in our Yellow Delis in various places.
This is something most people never get an opportunity to experience… and we are thankful to be able to share our blessing with you.

Real salmon… really caught in Alaska!
